Jackson

Grover Jackson originally worked on Charvel guitars in California before designing a more radical guitar for Randy Rhoads which became the first ‘Jackson’ guitar in the late 1970’s. Jackson guitars, with their pointy features – like a more extreme Gibson Explorer – became a staple of metal guitarists, as they are still today. In 2002, Fender bought Jackson and Charvel brands.
