Gibson / Original / 70s Flying V
(DSV00CWCH1)
Few signs of nitrocellulose cracking (minute) by a couple of pickguard screws and on the edge of the nut. Purely cosmetic.
The Gibson Flying V was originally released in 1958 but only made for one year, before being made once again in 1963. In 1967, it was produced for the 3rd time and it was 3rd time lucky, as it’s been in production ever since.
Although some 60s players like Albert King, Dave Davies and Jimi Hendrix were Flying V players, it was really the in the 1970s and 80s with the rise of glam, heavy rock and metal that the Flying V really, ahem, took off!
This version pays tribute to the 70s incarnation of the Flying V.
